Local SEO refers to the search results provided by Google in either the “local pack” results on the first page, or the search results if one uses Google Maps to search for a business or service.

Unlike the organic results, which include ten results per page, Google limits the local results that matter most to “the three pack.” These are three business results Google deems most relevant to the user’s search intent. For example, Google: “Los Angeles Criminal Defense Attorney”. In the screenshot below, you will see the three pack immediately below the first organic result.
